Black Hills Trip

The three of us spent about a week in the Black Hills. The weather was beautiful and we enjoyed our drives, hikes, and campsites.

Adria searching for minnows in a lake after one of our hikes (that is why she is not in a swimsuit).
Showing off the sand she dug up.

Chasing the ducks...a bird lover. :)

We hiked up Harney Peak which is the highest peak east of the Rocky Mountains. We didn't know if we'd make it because we are at a point where Adria will ride in the pack for awhile and then want out. Adria slept most of the hike up and then on the return trip hiked for about 1/2 mile or so. She is a little hiker. This is us at the top.

Beautiful!

Amazing views from the top.

Having a little snack before the trek down.

In Custer State Park there are narrow tunnels that you drive through along the Needles Highway, this is one of them. It is an amazing drive.

Shot at one of our campsites. Self timers rock!!!!

Modeling our new digs...the camper.

Adria loved working on this lock.

Future locksmith or lockSmith?

A was watching Marc chop wood then decided to chop her own.....using the firelighter. It was too cute not to let her.

Resting on one of the trails.

Happy hikers!

Love this hat, shields the sun from her eyes and protects her neck from the sun, and it's so lightweight that she leaves it on.
