South Dakota

Last week we took a road trip to the Black Hills to research the campsites for the next possible title in Marc's publishing career. We had fun seeing the different camps and making a few stops along the way. We found some places that we would like to revisit and some other attractions that would be fun to go to sometime.

Adria enjoyed being inside of the tipi outside the visitor center at BNP.
A campsite at Badlands National Park, would you like to camp there?
A sunny day for a walk around Horsethief Lake, close to Mt. Rushmore.
Beautiful fall colors. Too bad we weren't more spiffed up.
Roughlock falls.
Just a great picture of a tent in the trees.
This girl is a dandelion lover.

Angostura State Park. A nice size reservoir with few trees. We enjoyed having the camp to ourselves (other than the host).
Adria throwing rocks the evening at Angostura.
Adria got a kick out of the bison.
Adria and I are on a dock at Legion Lake. There was a big school of fish swimming around which made Adria excited and she was signing "fish".
I guess she was anxious to read the sign.
